Job Title: Screw Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Job Description

Join our team as an automatics operator, where you will safely operate Acme equipment during the 2nd shift from 4pm to 2:30am, with an expectation of 40 - 50 hours per week. Your role will involve loading machines with bars, starting the machine, inspecting parts for conformance, and making adjustments over time to ensure high-quality output. Training and a development path will be provided to enhance your skills in operating ACME machines.

Responsibilities

+ Safely operate Acme equipment.

+ Load machines with bars and start the machine.

+ Inspect parts to ensure they meet conformance standards.

+ Make adjustments to machines to maintain quality.

+ Utilize micrometers and calipers for precise measurements.

+ Perform quality checks and documentation.

+ Set up and troubleshoot machinery as needed.

Essential Skills

+ 2 years of machine operating experience.

+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.

+ Experience working in a dirty environment.

+ Mechanical aptitude.

+ Ability to use micrometers and calipers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Auto mechanic experience.

+ Experience with ACME Gridley equipment.

+ CNC setup experience.

Work Environment

You will work in a loud and dirty environment, typical of an automotive supplier. The plant's machinery requires oil or water-based lubricants, resulting in metal shavings and oil on the floors. Slip-resistant shoes are necessary, and while oil scrubbers are used periodically, the environment remains fairly dirty. Embrace the fast-paced nature of this role to thrive.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
