    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting assigned machines. You will play a crucial role in operating production machinery in accordance with established job instructions, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring that parts are inspected during production to meet and maintain quality specifications.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate production machines according to job instructions.

    + Monitor and troubleshoot machines during operations to ensure efficiency.

    + Inspect parts during production to maintain quality standards.

    + Adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines.

    + Perform general labor tasks as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Ability to use a calculator effectively.

    + Reliability and willingness to work 40+ hours per week.

    + Capability to follow both written and verbal instructions.

    + Physical ability to stand for 8 hours and lift 50 pounds independently.

    + Proficiency in bending, pushing, and pulling.

    + Competency in performing repetitive tasks.

    + Experience working with materials such as fiberglass, foam, and rubber.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Comfortable working with insulation, which can be itchy.

    Work Environment

     

    The position is based in a warehouse setting with standard working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The role requires handling various materials and using tools such as tape measures and hand tools. Employees are expected to follow a casual dress code suitable for a manufacturing environment.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Bedford, Massachusetts.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.00/hr.
