Job Title: Grinder Operator - If you have used grinders recreationally or in a manufacturing setting you are a fit for this position!

Job Description

The role involves the mechanical assembly of test equipment, with a focus on building the 'Eclipse' test machine. The candidate will be responsible for constructing the machine from blueprints, as well as completing plumbing and electrical wiring tasks using hand tools and power tools. The position is for the 1st shift from 6 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

+ Assemble machines from blueprints.

+ Grind and polish sheet metal

+ Use hand tools on a daily basis

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read blueprints.

+ Proficiency in using screwdrivers, impact guns, grinders and other hand tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Mechanical aptitude to assemble from a print or diagram.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean and organized, with a focus on manufacturing and assembly of specialized equipment. The company employs 84 people, including 10 welders. The dress code requires working attire, a welding helmet, welding gloves, and steel toe boots. The facility includes departments such as Engineering, Machining, Welding, Metal Finishing, and Shipping/Receiving, all under one roof.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison Heights, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
