Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Assemblers to join our team in manufacturing carpeted products for the automotive industry. This is a full-time, long-term position where you will be integral in producing high-quality components used in vehicles. You will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, performing inspections, and ensuring the production of formed and trimmed products.

Responsibilities

+ Load and unload materials and assemblies into presses.

+ Perform inspections to maintain quality standards.

+ Produce formed and trimmed products.

+ Handle carpet assemblies weighing 10-15 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds during material handling.

+ Work on a production line in a high-paced environment, ensuring efficiency and productivity.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in manufacturing and production environments.

+ Proficiency in inspection, loading, trimming, unloading, and assembly processes.

+ Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

+ Stable work history with at least 1-2 years at previous jobs.

+ Reliable attendance with no late arrivals or absences.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

+ Must be at least 18 years old.

Work Environment

Work in a high-production shop with three shifts available: 1st shift from 7 AM to 3 PM, 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11 PM, and 3rd shift from 11 PM to 7 AM. The facility includes 8-10 stamping cells with several presses per cell and about 70 production employees per shift. Training is comprehensive, with new hires paired with experienced employees to ensure a smooth transition and quick learning. The workplace is dynamic and fast-paced, emphasizing efficiency and teamwork.

This is a Permanent position based out of Port Huron, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36400.00 - $37024.00/yr.
