Job Title: Machinist
Job Description
As a Machinist, you will set up, adjust, and operate a variety of NC/NCN controlled lathes or machining centers to perform turning, boring, threading, contouring, milling, drilling, tapping, reaming, and angle and taper cuts with precision and to meet stringent finish requirements. You will work from routings, process sheets, and blueprints, using a variety of precision instruments to set up and inspect your work. Your role will involve assisting in establishing program requirements and making necessary machine adjustments to correct deviations from program specifications. You may also recommend tooling arrangements, fixtures, and operational sequences.
Responsibilities
+ Set up, adjust, and operate NC/NCN controlled lathes or machining centers.
+ Perform turning, boring, threading, contouring, milling, drilling, tapping, reaming, and angle and taper cuts to close tolerances.
+ Work from routings, process sheets, and blueprints.
+ Use precision instruments for setup and inspection.
+ Assist in establishing program requirements and correct deviations.
+ Recommend tooling arrangements and operational sequences.
+ Mount and secure tooling, align and secure fixtures, platens, and workpieces.
+ Assist in setup and instruct new or less qualified operators.
+ Run secondary machine or auxiliary operations when applicable.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of machine setup experience.
+ Proficiency in machining and CNC setup.
+ Experience with Fanuc and lathe operations.
+ Strong inspection skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to recommend tooling arrangements and operational sequences.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48588.80 - $72883.20/yr.
