Job Title: Rework Grinder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Rework Grinder to join our team. Initially, training will be conducted on a day shift from Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM. However, candidates should be prepared for a potential shift to swing hours, 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM. This role involves using grinders and other tools to perform metal finishing and fabrication tasks within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
+ Operate grinders and other hand and power tools to finish metal products.
+ Perform grinding, deburring, polishing, and buffing tasks.
+ Ensure all work meets quality standards and attention to detail is maintained.
+ Lift and maneuver objects weighing 30-50lbs as required.
+ Work efficiently and safely in a physically demanding position.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency with grinders and grinding techniques.
+ Experience with hand and power tools.
+ Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing.
+ Working knowledge of grinding tools and equipment.
+ Blueprint reading skills are advantageous.
+ Willingness to train on different shifts if necessary.

Work Environment
This position is within a Fortune 500 company known for its leadership in superalloy, aluminum, and titanium investment casting. The work environment is loud, dusty, and involves exposure to noise, dust, and fumes. Grinding work is performed in a ventilated 'grinding booth' and can result in fatigue, especially in the forearms and hands. The facility is located in a large industrial setting with exposure to temperature extremes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukie, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.70 - $24.70/hr.
