The Social Media CoE partners with brand teams, the in-house agency, and external media partners to deliver compliant, customer-centric content that moves at the speed of business. What We're Looking For
+ In today's constantly evolving digital environment driven by generative AI, evolving privacy regulations, and emerging platforms-we're seeking a forward-thinking, operationally minded leader to serve as **Associate Director of Social Media Capabilities & Operations** .
+ You bring deep expertise in social media platforms and tools, a strong understanding of compliance, and a passion for building scalable infrastructure. You thrive in fast-paced environments, anticipate external trends, and know how to translate strategy into execution.
+ This role is not only about leading execution-it's about building the infrastructure that enables it. You'll be responsible for developing and scaling global social media capabilities, including platform governance, trafficking systems, and operational workflows. A key aspect is leading a team of traffickers and working closely with the in-house creative agency, brand teams, and external partners to ensure quick, accurate, and compliant deployment of social media content across paid and organic channels.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Leadership & Capability Building
+ Serve as a subject matter authority on social media trends, platform innovation, and AI technologies.
+ Partner with Tech@Lilly to scale tools globally and advantage AI to supervise and protect social media assets.
+ Launch and lead interpersonal projects to accelerate reach and scale, identifying gaps and removing road blocks.
+ Maintain and update the Lilly Design System for social media tactics to facilitate compliant tactic development.
Operations Oversight & Team Leadership
+ Lead a team of operations managers and traffickers, providing strategic direction, training, and performance oversight with a strong ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
+ Supervise and orchestrate social media execution, ensuring seamless coordination across platforms, creative, media, BI&A, regulatory, and brand teams to deliver accurate, compliant content on time—while effectively leading opposing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Run trafficking of paid and organic tactics via platforms like Sprinklr, Meta Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
+ Support execution with in-house agency and strategy teams and reviewing tactics for accuracy and compliance.
Compliance & Risk Management
+ Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and company policies across all platforms and ad formats, and adherence to company policies and industry standards in all social media activities
+ Maintain relationships with platform representatives to run updates and mitigate risks.
+ Provide insights and guidance during Global Social Media Enablement Team (GSMET) meetings to identify scalable opportunities.
Technology & Innovation
+ Collaborate with Tech@Lilly and platform partners to integrate and scale social media tools.
+ Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance performance and operational efficiency.
+ Champion AI-driven solutions to streamline workflows and protect brand integrity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Partner closely with social strategy, in-house agency, media partners and compliance teams to execution.
+ Host informational sessions to educate internal and external partners on approved content production.
+ Drive integration of operational and technical expertise across affiliate teams, brands, and MLRO teams.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field.
+ 7–10 years of experience in digital or brand marketing.
+ Minimum 3–5 years in leadership roles, with demonstrated ability to coach for performance and provide actionable feedback to elevate team and others.

Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience operating in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, government, media), with a focus on process rigor and documentation.
+ Strong leadership presence with a collaborative, ego-free approach to driving results.
+ Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Khoros, Quid).
+ Ability to diagnose process vs. technology pain points and implement solutions through project planning and milestone management
+ Skilled in collaborator management and cross-cultural communication skills.
+ Detail-oriented and effective in high-volume environments, with proven ability to prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
+ Effectively runs workload distribution to ensure team efforts are focused on high-impact priorities.
+ Shown success leading enterprise-level clients and sophisticated, multi-channel creative campaigns.
+ Familiarity with CMS and DAM tools, and basic data literacy to interpret performance metrics and their impact on KPIs.
+ Strong grasp of creative development, brand strategy, and omnichannel marketing.
+ High learning agility and adaptability to emerging technologies, including AI-driven tools for social media monitoring and optimization.
+ Excellent communication and organizational change skills, with the ability to influence and educate cross-functional and global teams.
+ This role requires regular in-office presence to support teamwork, team leadership, and cross-functional alignment.
+ Experience working with major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok), including their features, functionalities, and best practices.
+ Experience working in healthcare marketing, including both HCP and DTC audiences, and experience navigating diligent regulations or similar compliance review processes.
+ experience running content workflows, trafficking, and regulatory approvals.
+ Technical proficiency in design software and tools (Adobe Suite).

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$127,500 - $187,000
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
