Summary You will serve as a PIPEFITTER LEADER (EXPERT) in the Production Resources Department of PSNS and IMF. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Responsibilities You will test, stages install, modify, fabricate, maintain and repair new and existing temporary systems and equipment. You will work in accordance with developed technical direction including blueprints, and sketches to plan and lay out the routing and placement of various temporary piping systems and equipment. You will serve as an expert performing maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, installation, modification, and testing in the shop and onboard ships. You will be able to accomplish work from the start of the job to completion of post-work review. You will mentor, train and instruct Pipe Shop employees. You will work continually to improve trade processes and keep shop personnel informed of new technologies, procedures and tooling improvements associated with shop work. You will demonstrate an understanding of work schedules and can adapt to changes in priorities/processes and communicates these changes, as well as causes, to the work team. Education Additional Information This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
