Job Description
We are looking for a **Technical Business Analyst/Data Analyst** to partner with the business and other product teams to understand their business models in order to help formulate future strategies and develop requirements for new and enhanced functionality within our core dining systems. This position will be a **contract** role and **onsite in Miramar, FL,** with a strong possibility for global travel during implementation phases to support business teams and users (less than 20%).
Due to the specific legal and contractual requirements associated with this position, this role will be direct employment with CAI. This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
What You’ll Do
+ Plan interviews and facilitate requirements gathering, process analysis, and application design sessions with project stakeholders, including internal IT partners and business partners
+ Evaluate COTs products to identify the best possible fit based on stakeholder requirements
+ Create business cases to request funding for new initiatives
+ Lead project teams in connecting the vision of dining product features to the dining product backlog
+ Manage the prioritization of user stories
+ Work with various technology teams to determine estimates on resources and timing to meet business needs and communicate it to the business
+ Gather/create detailed business requirements and scope documents, and translate them into detailed functional specifications
+ Create and manage project deliverables for small to medium-sized projects (2-4 resources). Log, track, and verify resolution for all project tasks to ensure business and technical scope is controlled to meet quality, timeline, and budget expectations
+ Assist business partners in resolving IT issues and facilitate collaboration with other IT teams
+ Provide written and verbal communication such as status reports, progress reports, and documentation to IT and business partners
What You'll Need
Required:
+ Proven experience in conducting business data schema reviews to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational objectives
+ Strong knowledge and practical experience in data analytics, engineering, and management to support business strategies
+ Ability to analyze and interpret data flow diagrams effectively to identify process improvements
+ Demonstrated experience in performing business process reviews to optimize workflows and enhance system capabilities
+ Expertise in creating detailed business cases and use cases to drive project goals and support decision-making
+ Experience in all phases of the application development life cycle, specifically in Business Analyst skills and Quality Assurance Testing skills
+ Proven experience in Agile methodology, including maintaining a backlog of well-defined user stories (with dependencies & acceptance criteria)
+ Ability to clearly develop and articulate business requirements and translate into functional specifications (and vice versa)
+ Advanced proficiency in PC tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, Visio, and other project planning tools to effectively manage and execute project deliverables
+ Ability to work both on-site and abroad as required
+ Comfortable traveling to various locations for system installations and upgrades
+ Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed for project completions
Preferred:
+ Knowledge of Python programming language
+ Experience in a similar role within the maritime
+ Knowledge of cyber and physical security protocols and standards related to access control systems
+ Certification in relevant technologies or systems (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Access Control Specialist)

+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
+ Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time, with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$37-$41 per hour
The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
