•Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Total Rewards and HR Operations Manager to lead and manage our compensation, benefits, and HR operations programs. This role is essential in executing strategic HR initiatives that attract, retain, and support our workforce, while ensuring alignment with our organizational values and business objectives. You will oversee daily operations across compensation, benefits, and HR systems, and play a key role in process optimization and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and execute the Total Rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, and wellness programs.
+ Lead the implementation and ongoing management of HRIS/HCM/ATS systems.
+ Co-own the strategic roadmap for HRIS capabilities and enhancements.
+ Manage cyclical HR processes such as performance management, compensation planning, and talent calibrations.
+ Supervise a team of four HR professionals across Generalist, Benefits, and HRIS functions.
+ Administer broad-based compensation programs including salary reviews, job evaluations, market benchmarking, and survey participation.
+ Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to ensure competitive and consistent job offers and internal movements.
+ Oversee the design, communication, and administration of total rewards programs including health, wellness, retirement, and leave policies.
+ Partner with brokers and internal teams during annual benefits renewal and open enrollment, ensuring effective communication and vendor coordination.
+ Monitor benefits trends and recommend enhancements based on employee feedback, cost analysis, and market data.
+ Maintain and optimize HRIS systems to support business needs and enable data-driven decision-making.
+ Identify and implement process improvements across compensation, benefits, and HR operations.
+ Work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and IT to support HR initiatives.
+ Contribute to special projects such as HRIS upgrades, compensation structure reviews, and new program rollouts.
+ Provide day-to-day guidance to HR colleagues and employees on total rewards and HR operations matters.
Required Skills & Experience:
+ Proven leadership experience managing a team of 4 direct reports.
+ Strong background in benefits administration, including self-insured plans and managing a \$40M budget.
+ Expertise in HRIS systems, especially Workday.
+ Experience with compensation planning and open enrollment processes within HRIS platforms.
+ Familiarity with M&A integration and related HR support.
+ Knowledge of compliance areas including Workers’ Compensation, FMLA, and Connecticut Paid Sick Leave.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 6 years of HR experience in at least two of the following areas: Compensation, Benefits, HR Operations, or HRIS.
+ At least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights.
+ Excellent project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
+ Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Work Environment & Travel:
This role is based in an office setting in Chester, CT, with an on-site presence required three days per week. Initial travel to the New Hampshire facility will be weekly, transitioning to twice monthly. The position includes bonus opportunities, potential for compensation growth, and the chance to lead innovative HR initiatives.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
