    The Registrar provides administrative support to and professional functions for the Director. Coordinates specific events, programming, and special functions for the School on behalf of Administration. Implements, maintains, and coordinates computerized information for student records, enrollment, and registration processes in the School of Nursing.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Organizes communications, appointments, and meetings for the Director.

    + Manages written correspondence, reports, surveys, and other official documents of the Director’s Office.

    + Coordinates faculty development programs and special programs and events, including faculty/administrative travel arrangements.

    + Prepares executive minutes for the Director and administrative team and other group/committee meetings, as assigned.

    + Functions as Registrar of the School for the student registration process, preparation of grade reports, recording of official academic records, and recording of other enrollments, as needed.

    + Manages data entry functions utilizing the School's administration software system to ensure integrity, safety, and security of computerized academic and student health records.

    + Monitors currency of student health records, maintains database for student health record maintenance, and coordinates health record information for community sites.

    + Participates in School events as needed, such as Orientation and Promotions/Recognition ceremony.

    + Plans nursing course schedules as designed by the Director.

    + Schedules classroom space with AV Conferences Services for three semesters each academic year.

    PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

    Sitting for up to seven hours per day, three hours at a time. Frequently uses fingers for typing and data entry. Frequent use of hands. Uses upper extremities to lift up to ten pounds. Rarely reaches above shoulder level. Occasionally stoops and bends. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near and far vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

    EDUCATION:

    Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required. Associate Degree in business, secretarial science, or information technology recommended; consideration given for comparable college courses or equivalent experience.

    TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

    Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Demonstrated competence in executive manners, protocol, and social skills required. Previous executive administrative assistant experience and paralegal experience preferred, but not required. Accounting and budgetary management skills preferred, but not required. Knowledge and skill in electronic information systems, data processing, data retrieval, and data manipulation recommended.
