The Azure Container App Service team, a key part of the broader Azure organization, is on a mission to empower developers to rapidly build and manage highly scalable distributed and serverless applications on Azure. We are seeking a Software Engineer II who is interested in building new products and managing a globally distributed service. The right candidate should be able to produce high-quality solutions independently and thrive in a collaborative and diverse team environment, both locally and across different geographies. Responsibilities
+ Drive the creation of feature designs and lead design discussions, leveraging your expertise to make decisions that align with the overall product vision.
+ Effectively leverage AI platforms to increase operational efficiency and reduce toil
+ Establish and maintain telemetry to monitor usage and performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to ensure optimal service delivery and customer satisfaction.
+ Lead and participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and consistency across the codebase, providing constructive feedback and guidance to team members.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders, disciplines, and architects to deliver timely products to our partners and customers.
+ Develop and maintain high-quality code, documentation, and specifications.
+ Demonstrate and enhance communication and group collaboration skills.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 2+ years of experience with distributed systems and cloud services.
Other Requirements:
+ Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and other container orchestration systems.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
