_VCA Morris Plains Animal Hospital is looking for a dedicated and dynamic veterinary professional to join our one-of-a-kind team in a_ **_cross-trained hybrid role_** _—combining the hands-on care of a_ **_Veterinary Assistant_** _with the essential client-facing responsibilities of a_ **_Client Service Representative_** _._

_About the Hybrid Role:_

_Patient Care & Clinical Support_

+ _Providing compassionate care for patients in all interactions._

+ Preparing and verifying dispensed medications and in hospital administration

+ Collecting and processing lab samples

+ _Performing venipuncture and placing IV catheters (advanced skill)._

+ _Conducting hands-free radiography (with sedation if required)._

+ _Preparing and administering vaccines and subcutaneous fluids_

+ _Assisting surgical staff with surgical and dental procedure preparation, practice, recovery and clean up._

+ _Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records through EMR systems._

+ _Performing basic hospital maintenance including but not limited to: laundry, cleaning, restocking and organizing_

+ Client education and care though all phases of the client journey

_Client Communication & Customer Service_

+ _Communicating with pet owners with professionalism and empathy._

+ _Greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and pets to exam rooms._

+ _Scheduling and confirming appointments._

+ _Placing follow-up calls and reaching out to prospective clients._

+ _Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments._

+ _Recommending, selecting, and dispensing products and services, including prescriptions._

+ _Answering client questions regarding hospital services and general pet care (e.g., heartworm prevention, flea/tick control, housebreaking)._

_Administrative & Facility Responsibilities_

+ _Managing medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence._

+ _Maintaining hospital cleanliness and sanitation at all times, including removal of animal waste, to ensure a neat and welcoming environment both inside and outside the facility._
