Job Description: Manufacturing - Assembly Technician (MFGA)
**Location:** Thermo Fisher Scientific, Grand Island, NY
**Shift:** Second Shift (Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)
**Role:** Liquid Finishing
Position Summary:
Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for a Manufacturing - Assembly Technician (MFGA) to join our team in Grand Island, NY. This role focuses on liquid finishing operations and is scheduled for the second shift, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
+ **Assembly and Production:** Perform assembly and finishing tasks for liquid products, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
+ **Quality Control:** Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards. Report any issues to the supervisor.
+ **Equipment Operation:** Operate and maintain assembly and finishing equipment. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
+ **Documentation:** Complete production records, logs, and other required documentation accurately.
+ **Team Collaboration:** Work with team members to achieve production goals. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments.
+ **Safety Compliance:** Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in safety training and initiatives.
Qualifications:
+ **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ **Experience:** Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly role, preferably in a liquid finishing environment.
+ **Skills:**
+ Strong attention to detail and quality
+ Ability to operate and troubleshoot assembly equipment.
+ Good communication and teamwork skills.
+ Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
+ **Physical Requirements:** Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $14.05–$21.07.
