The Louisiana Special School District (LSSD) is an education service agency who provides services to the Louisiana Special Schools (Louisiana School for the Deaf, Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired and Special School Programs). The schools provide educational opportunities to students with low-incidence disabilities and a variety of unique needs.
We're Hiring: Budget Analyst 1, 2 or 3.

We're looking for a detail-oriented, analytical thinker who can develop, monitor, and optimize budgets across departments. If you have a strong background in finance, excellent Excel skills, and a passion for data-driven planning, we want to hear from you!

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in budget development or analysis, accounting, auditing, policy planning, procurement, contracts or grants management, project management, statistical analysis, or financial services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
*Prepares distribution of the annual initial budget load.
* Preparation of budget expenditure and revenue projections.
* Preparation of the annual Budget Request.
* Prepare and maintain comprehensive monthly program offices expenditure budget.
* Preparation of BA7 Carryforward.
* Preparation of expenditure journal voucher.
Position-specific details:
Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional. The chosen application will be required to take a probationary appointment.
Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
