The Louisiana Department of Health is seeking an experiencedAttorney Supervisorto lead legal and litigation efforts within the Bureau of Legal Services. This position oversees a team providing counsel on complex state and federal Medicaid matters, the Office of Aging and Adult Services, and the LDH Compliance Office. The role offers the opportunity to manage high-impact litigation, guide legal strategy across multiple Medicaid programs, and contribute to projects of department-wide importance.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice law plus four years of experience as a practicing attorney.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Serves as chief of a section within the Bureau of Legal Services, providing legal, consultative, administrative, and supervisory support to the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH).
+ Provides legal counsel and representation for the LDH Office of Management and Finance, the Louisiana Medicaid Assistance Program, the Office of Aging and Adult Services (OAAS), and the LDH Compliance Office.
+ Supervises litigation attorneys and oversees legal matters for the Office of the Secretary of LDH related to Medicaid programs, including:
+ Medicaid Fee-For-Service (FFS)
+ Medicaid Managed Care
+ Medicaid Waivers
+ Medicaid Finance
+ Medicaid Services (e.g., Pharmacy, Transportation, and EPSDT services)
+ Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) Medicaid programs
+ Medicaid Provider Enrollment
+ Medicaid Program Integrity (PI), including fraud and abuse services
+ Internal Audit and OAAS
+ Federal and state Medicaid litigation
+ Leads and manages special litigation projects involving complex state and federal Medicaid issues.
+ Provides legal strategy, consultation, and oversight on litigation of department-wide significance.
