Salary: $805 / Week

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Behavioral Classroom Aide. The Behavioral Classroom Aide provides behavioral support services in the school setting.

Minimum Requirements:

+ High School diploma or its equivalent.

+ Associates degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

+ Current Health Certificate (if applicable)

+ Current CPR card.

+ Current TB Skin test or Chest X-ray

General Comments

(3) Behavioral Tech Opportunity at a Therapeutic Day School

+ Start Date: 11/3/25

+ Full-Time M-F 8:15-3:15 PM (35 guaranteed hours/week)

+ Initially placed as a floater to become familiar with environment and programs. Expected to transition into a 1:1 support role once acclimated

+ Students vary in age and needs; placement will aim to align with the strengths of the selected paraprofessional.

+ K-22 y/o with varying programs

+ Self-Contained Classroom Type- (2) Programs: Bridges and Pathways

+ Bridges Program:

+ Each classroom does not exceed 7 students

+ Each classroom has a SPED teacher and a TA specific to that classroom only

+ 2 out of 3 students in this program have an assigned 1:1 para

+ Pathways Program:

+ Each classroom does not exceed 6 students, currently has 4 students on the caseload.

+ Each classroom has a SPED teacher and a TA specific to that classroom only

+ 3 to 4 paras on average per classroom

Ideal Candidate Profile:

+ Holds an active paraprofessional license

+ Has a minimum of 2+ years of experience in special education or working with individuals with special needs

+ Comfortable working with students who present behavioral challenges and high support needs

+ Willing and able to assist with toileting, which is a firm requirement for this role

Additional Information:

+ Must complete a virtual screening with recruiter

+ Must have onboarding paperwork complete

+ Need interview availability for next week (WE 10/25)

+ Candidate must be willing to start 11/3
