Cross-Categorical (Special Education) Teacher

Duration: December – March

Pay Rate: $45-50/hour

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in the Madison area. This short-term assignment is ideal for educators who are passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful impact during the winter months.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide individualized instruction and support to students with varying disabilities.

+ Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to implement IEPs.

+ Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.

+ Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.

+ Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

+ Valid Wisconsin DPI license in Special Education (Cross-Categorical or equivalent).

+ Experience working with students with a range of disabilities.

+ Strong communication and collaboration skills.

+ Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs.

Schedule:

+ Full-time or part-time options may be available depending on placement.

+ School hours, Monday through Friday.
