             Director of Family Services Rochester, NY (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=265+N.+Clinton+Ave.+Rochester+NY+USA+14605) Description Job Status: Grant-funded FLSA Status: Exempt Schedule: 35 hours/week FUNCTION:Oversee the Division of Family Services, and the Mobility Mentoring Program RESPONSIBILITIES: + Responsible for overseeing the Family Services Division, under the guidance of the EVP of Programs. + Complete and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as requested by the Program Planning, Research and Evaluation Department. + Assist the EVP of Programs in the hiring or Human Resources oversight of divisional staff. + Direct up to 4 Mobility Mentors and up to 2 Mobility Mentor Navigators, EISEP Case Managers and Outreach Specialist including performance reviews and staff observations. + Oversee the mobility mentoring and motivational interviewing carried out by staff members in the Family Services Division, including training new and current staff members. + Work directly with clients in the Family Services Division, as required by any staffing limitations. + Attend Urban League of Rochester functions and events. + Perform other duties as may be assigned by the EVP of Programs. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: + Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a background in case management, mobility mentoring or motivational interviewing. + Master’s degree in a relevant area (i.e., case management, counselling, human services) preferred. + Knowledge of mobility mentoring required; knowledge of case management preferred. + Requires 3+ years of experience in client interactions or management. + Requires 2+ years of experience in managing or overseeing other staff members. + Experience in civic engagement, financial planning preferred. + Demonstrated ability to independently meet deadlines and requirements from supervisors. + Excellent written and oral communications skills. + Capacity to manage multiple projects and assignments, often with competing deadlines. + Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines. + Knowledge of the dynamics of race and class within the political economy of contemporary urban America. + Competency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Access, and Excel. + Must be able to handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.
