CTG is seeking a Senior Backend Cloud Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-based applications using microservices architecture for our client.

**Location:** Phoenix, AZ

**Duration:** 12 months

Responsibilities:

+ Develop and maintain cloud-native backend services with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.

+ Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices across front-end, back-end, and middleware components.

+ Implement DevOps best practices for CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment.

+ Manage and optimize cloud environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and automation tools.

+ Monitor and troubleshoot applications with ELK Stack, ensuring uptime and performance.

Key Skills:

+ **Languages/Frameworks:** Go, Java, Groovy, Spring, Hibernate

+ **Cloud & DevOps:** Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, SVN)

+ **APIs & Microservices:** REST Web Services, APIGEE, API Connect

+ **Databases:** Postgres/PostgreSQL, Couchbase, NoSQL

+ **Messaging & Monitoring:** Kafka, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)

+ **Testing:** RestAssured

Qualifications:

+ 5+ years of backend and cloud engineering experience.

+ Proven success designing and deploying microservices-based architectures.

+ Strong background in CI/CD, containerization, and distributed systems.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
