Description of Department:
This position will report to the Assistant Vice President for Academic Support. The newly funded TRIO, Student Support Services (SSS) program will join the Academic Support team including the Academic Advisement Center, the Office of Learning Services (OLS), the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), and the Office of Experiential Learning.

While this position is affiliated with the SUNY Oswego campus, it is a Research Foundation position, not a New York State position.

Compensation: Minimum salary $70,000 commensurate with experience plus a full Research Foundation benefits package.

Description of Responsibilities:
+ Develop, direct, and evaluate the TRIO SSS Program in accordance with the USDOE SSS rules and regulations
+ Administer federal grant program budget in collaboration with the project director
+ Work with admissions, financial aid, accessibility services, and advisement to plan and Implement recruitment and persistence plan based on program requirements and eligibility
+ Design and Implement TRIO Program policies and procedures
+ Collect and maintain program data and prepare and submit Annual Program Report (APR)
+ Supervise Program Staff (advisor, GA, and students)

Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
+ Master's Degree Required in education, counseling, public administration or related area from an accredited university.
+ Minimum of three years of experience working in academic support or administering programs for underserved students.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Minimum of three years of experience in the areas of staff supervision, budget management, program development and evaluation, and reporting and compliance with federal regulations, or with similar programs for disadvantaged college students.
+ Minimum of five years of experience working with federal TRIO programs, academic support programs, or similar programs for disadvantaged college students.
+ Professional or personal experience in overcoming barriers similar to those confronting program participants.
