Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Technical Writer for an exciting opportunity developing new capabilities for the Strategic Automated Command and Control System (SACCS) Acquisition and Sustainment Programs at Hill Air Force Base (AFB), Utah. This position will be accountable to the Program Manager for tasks and will work both collaboratively and independently on assigned projects. As the Technical Writer for the program, this person will write, edit, and review documentation and media, Test Plans and Procedures, Technical Orders, Time Compliant Technical Orders, Drawings, charts, and other technical data related to the program.
This position will directly support the SACCS Acquisition (SACCS-R) and SACCS Sustainment (SACCS-S) Programs. Duties will include providing support to the government Program Managers and Engineer Leads on all aspects of program documentation. This position will also be expected to assist in the regular Program Management Review briefs on the status of each assigned project assigned. The ideal candidate must have experience developing training plans and material.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ 7 years experience in technical writing/editing or equivalent combination of education and related/relevant work experience is required
+ Expert-level skills will Microsoft Word; strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
+ Demonstrated skills in technical writing and editing, document formatting, grammar and usage, form, organization of ideas, and technical communications
+ Demonstrated ability to pay attention to details
+ Ability to plan and prioritize tasks to successfully meet/exceed customer expectations
+ Knowledge of DoD industry practices (TO 00-5-1, MIL-STD-38784, MIL-STD-3048, MIL-STD-1808). Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks
+ _Active US DoD Secret Security Clearance granted within the last 5 years_
+ Must be a US Citizen, possess the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
+ Must be able to travel up to 25%
+ Due to its special-access, classified working environment, this position is only located at Hill AFB, Utah, and may not always be conducive to telework schedules
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Experience with writing/editing DoD System Engineering protocol documentation through the DoD acquisitions lifecycle.
+ Familiarity with SACCS program and/or experience in networking, hardware, software and cybersecurity.
+ Familiarity with Security and Classifications (e.g., requirements, portion marking, and creation)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
