Position Overview
The Director, Sales Technology will be a strategic leader responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of our sales technology ecosystem. This role will drive the optimization and transformation of our sales operations through innovative application of technology, enabling Shaw to achieve ambitious growth targets. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of sales processes and the technologies that support them, with a proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. A critical aspect of this role is the ability to comfortably and confidently advise Senior-level executives on technology investments, roadmap, and impact on sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales technology roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic goals and sales objectives. Proactively identify emerging technologies and trends that can enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency.
+ C-Level Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to the Senior VP Sales Enablement, Senior VP Customer Experience, Senior VP Marketing, Senior-level executives on all matters related to sales technology. Present complex technical concepts and strategic recommendations in a clear, concise, and business-oriented manner.
+ Sales Technology Stack Management:
+ CRM (Customer Relationship Management): Own the strategy, implementation, and optimization of our Salesforce platform. Ensure data integrity, user adoption, and alignment with sales processes.
+ Pricing & Quoting: Lead the selection, implementation, and management of pricing, quoting, and configure-price-quote (CPQ) solutions. Support the optimization of pricing strategies through technology and data.
+ Customer Incentives & Rebates: Oversee the technology supporting customer incentive & rebate management. Ensure accurate calculation, reporting, and transparency of customer incentives.
+ Sales Enablement & Coaching: Own the technical strategy, implementation and growth of our Showpad platform. Ensure governance, adoption and usability are maintained.
+ Integrations: Manage the integration of sales technologies with other enterprise systems (ERP, Marketing Automation, Product Data, etc.) to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
+ Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of sales technology focused professionals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
+ Vendor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with key sales technology vendors. Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
+ Budget Management: Manage the sales technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI on technology investments.
+ Change Management & Adoption: Drive successful adoption of new technologies and processes through effective change management strategies, training programs, and communication.
+ Security & Compliance: Ensure all sales technology solutions adhere to data security, privacy, and compliance regulations.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
+ 10+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years specifically focused on sales technology and operations in a large enterprise environment (preferably manufacturing).
+ Demonstrated experience managing Salesforce.com.
+ Demonstrated experience developing AI strategies leveraging Salesforce and other platforms that support Sales goals.
+ Deep understanding of pricing platforms, customer incentive compensation platforms, and the technologies that support them.
+ Exceptional executive presence with a proven track record of advising and influencing Senior-level executives on technology strategy and investments.
+ Strong understanding of manufacturing industry sales cycles (B2B2C) and challenges.
+ Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
+ · Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
+ Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
