    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Meter Engineer to join a large utility provider in the Phoenix area! This individual will have the opportunity to step into this team's most senior level role (apart from management) to identify, develop, and drive key initiatives within the Controls Engineering team. The Controls Engineering (CE) Team is primarily responsible for the execution of SCADA. This individual will focus on advanced technical aspects of metering and its integration with SCADA and revenue gathering systems. This is a brand new role on the team and the hiring manager envisions the Senior Meter Engineer stepping into a leadership role in the future.

     

    This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, and contribute to the continuous improvement of metering and SCADA systems. Their work will be reviewed from a long-term perspective and mainly for results. They must establish the most effective solution to problems and will be sought out for solutions that are acted on as a final technical basis for decisions.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related Applied Science (ABET accredited institution, IEA recognized, or ABET MRA) see approved degrees at the bottom

     

    - 4+ years of total working experience in a related engineering field

    - 4+ years of working experience specific to meter engineering

    - Extensive knowledge of metering systems and standards, including familiarity of regulatory bodies and their requirements such as the California ISO and their Energy Imbalance Market. - Experience in the utility industry

     

    - Experience in nuclear industry and/or nuclear jobs at Palo Verde

     

    - Professional Engineer license
