    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Compliance Analyst to support one of our large Telecommunications clients in Basking Ridge, NJ. As a Tax Compliance Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely filing of state and local tax returns, as well as reimbursement claims for both regulated and non-regulated entities. Supporting federal reimbursement processes including income and sales tax compliance, claim filing, and stakeholder coordination. You’ll work closely with the Associate Director and two supporting staff to ensure accurate and timely claim submissions through government portals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Preparing and filing federal and state claims in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations

    • Analyzing financial data and collaborating across finance teams to resolve payment issues

    • Supporting leadership with audit preparation and detailed research

    • Manage downstream processes including Excel-based tracking and portal uploads

    • Utilize Alteryx and Excel for data wrangling and analysis

    • Responding promptly to data requests and assessments to minimize penalties

    • Monitoring and complying with legislative changes from state and local tax authorities

    • Assisting with regulatory audits as needed

    • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and process alignment

    Skills and Requirements

     

    4+ years of experience in Tax Compliance (in-housed or outsourced)

     

    Strong experience and understanding of tax compliance processes and lifecycle

     

    Proficiency in Excel

    Alteryx experience

    Excellent communication and stakeholder management experience Prior experience working at Big 4 (PWC, Deloitte, KPMG, EY)

     

    Regulatory tax and/or compliance experience

     

    Familiarity with Google-Suite tools
