The **Chemical Operator** position is in our food chemical processing plant. As the Chemical Operator, you will operate in a safe and efficient manner, carrying out basic duties, some of the basic job duties are listed below: Raw Material handling and unloading.

+ Material packing using manual, semi-automatic, and automated packing systems

+ Restocking of packaging supplies

+ Trailer loading and unloading using fork truck

+ Bulk truck loading and unloading

+ Clean-up and housekeeping

+ Operate chemical equipment

+ Troubleshoot process problems

+ Troubleshoot product flow

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

+ 2+ years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing facility

+ Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED

+ Have the physical ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. further than 10 feet on a frequent basis

+ Must be able to work in confined areas while wearing protective clothing & equipment

+ Must be able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision, rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays

+ Basic understanding of mechanical systems, computer applications

+ Good reading and comprehensive skills

+ Must be able to learn new duties and progress to chemical operator level

+ Must be capable of operating a fork truck

What will set me apart?

+ Active St. Louis stationary engineer's license is preferred

**Starting Rate:** $30.05/hour
