Job title: Project Coordinator
We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team.
Asplundh Construction Corp., a national electrical construction company and division of the Asplundh Tree Expert Co., is searching for a Project Coordinator in our Howell, MI location. We are looking for a detail-oriented, hardworking, motivated, and field and customer focused individual.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing the daily workflow in multiple areas of our Michigan operation.** **This includes receiving physical and electronic work packages, updating the necessary tracking tools with their status and routing these packages to the proper groups and individuals for execution.** **In addition, the Project Coordinator will provide daily logistic coordination and support functions as needed by leadership.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
+ Track status of field construction projects
+ Assist in project scheduling
+ Update tracking and communication tools (Smartsheet, Excel, performance metric charts and tables)
+ Monitor and facilitate programs to collect production in the field using mobile communication platforms
+ Validate proper work package submission for billing
+ Assist management as necessary to resolve daily operational issues
+ Monitor and report on adherence to production reporting processes
+ Validate and submit reports to utility customers
+ Managing the daily workflow in multiple districts of our Michigan operation.
+ Receiving and properly routing physical and electronic work packages to field forces, customer representatives and internal controlling points for execution.
+ Update project status communication tools (Smartsheet, Excel, performance metric charts and tables).
+ Provide daily logistic coordination and support to field force leadership as needed, including consolidation and submission of routine business process items (timesheets, expense reports, etc.).
+ Assist field forces with installing, updating and implementing technology (computers, tablets, smartphones).
+ Attendance Requirements are 40 hours per week with the possibility of overtime as operating conditions dictate.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Excellent organizational skills – keep track of inbound paperwork from multiple sources, and prepare outbound paperwork to send to multiple sources.
+ Self-starter – have the ability to identify tasks that need to be completed, then prioritize and complete the work.
+ Excellent phone skills including professional phone etiquette and ability to communicate information clearly and logically.
+ Interpersonal and customer relationship skills – attend weekly meetings as needed and provide business input with a focus on customer service.
+ Self-managing – this position spends more than half of the work day working alone. Advance skills with Microsoft Excel.
+ Ability to operate, manage and troubleshoot basic technology peripherals (Wi-Fi, printers, Bluetooth, cellular phone settings, etc.).
+ General knowledge of Michigan towns and localities is preferred but not required. Ability to understand construction drawings preferred but not required.
+ Excellent Google Maps interpretation skills is helpful.
+ Experience using SmartSheet is preferred, but not required.
+ Must be able to write, read and comprehend written and verbal job instructions/information.
+ Must be able to communicate with others.
+ Must have transportation to and from the show up location.
+ Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
+ Must be able to pass a background check and Motor Vehicle Records Check (MVR).
+ Must have a valid driver’s license.
