Position Description:
We are excited to be seeking a Full-Time Physician to join Penn OBGYN Washington Square - 15th Floor. The new hire will care for OB & GYN patients in the ambulatory setting, which is located at 800 Walnut Street in the Penn Medicine Washington Square building. All surgeries and call will take place at nearby Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH), the nation’s first hospital.
PAH is fully equipped with a Level III NICU, private patient rooms, and performs over 5,000 deliveries annually. The labor floor is always covered by a minimum of two attendings, a midwife, a full team of residents, and in-house anesthesia. Call is shared with three additional OBGYN groups located at Penn Medicine Washington Square, which allows for a flexible call schedule with an average of 3 calls monthly and never more than one weekend shift per month. You will have the option to choose 12- or 24-hour shifts without having to take additional call.
Attending physicians also teach the PAH OBGYN residents in the inpatient setting and at the resident clinic, the Ludmir Center for Women’s Health. This hybrid university / community hospital model is the perfect opportunity for a clinician who enjoys working with residents and medical students but is not interested in academic research demands. We are excited to welcome a new physician to our long-standing and collegial group!
What you will do:
+ Provide full-scope obstetric and gynecologic care in the office, on labor and delivery, and in the operating room
+ Cover the labor floor at Pennsylvania Hospital while on call
+ Provide personal and individualized care to our patients
+ Assist in meeting or exceeding patient satisfaction and financial and operational targets
Minimum requirements:
Candidates must be Board Eligible/Certified in OBGYN and possess (or be eligible for) licensure and a DEA in the state of Pennsylvania.
Additional Information:
Interested candidates may apply online or send their CV to Jenna Catalini, Penn Medicine Recruiter, at [email protected]
