    Your Opportunity

    Stantec’s New York City office has an immediate need for a Bridge Inspector Assistant Team Leader. The position will work out of our 5th Avenue office. This position is for an individual looking to challenge themselves on a professional level on a variety of bridge assessment and evaluation projects and grow their bridge inspection experience. You will have the opportunity to learn, work on exciting and multi-faceted projects, and grow your career.

     

    Our team has a passion for the work that they do, and we’re looking for candidates with a similar passion. The successful candidates will join a growing team of transportation professionals and contribute to the inspection component of bridge projects throughout New York Metro Area.

     

    Your Key Responsibilities

     

    - The work will include field inspection of various size bridges including but not limited to suspension, major bridge viaducts and crossings in the New York City (NYC) Metro

     

    - You will be responsible for meeting the demands of high-profile clients, including NYSDOT, Port Authority of NY & NJ, TBTA, and NYCDOT

     

    - You will work with a qualified Inspection Team Leader both in the field and in the office to perform bridge condition evaluation and documentation

     

    Your Capabilities and Credentials

     

    - Preferred: Completed NYSDOT Bridge Inspection Workshop or 2-week NHI course

     

    - Preferred: SPRAT-Certified Level I Technician or willingness to attend training for certification

     

    - Preferred: OSHA 30 and Aerial Lift Certified

     

    - Excellent verbal and written communication skills

     

    - Available for flexible hours including nights and weekends

     

    - Valid driver's license

     

    - Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation and Microsoft Office

     

    Education and Experience

     

    - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field and working toward licensure

     

    - Prior Bridge inspection experience is preferred but not required.

     

    Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

    Pay Range:

    • Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP) - Min Salary $ 85,400.00 - Max Salary $ 119,600.00

    **Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

    **Benefits Summary:** Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave.
