This role is specifically within the Software Development portion of our Product Development (PD) Platform Operations team, helping maintain all aspects of our deployed Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) and Siemens Teamcenter platforms.

     

    Release Management & Coordination: • Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases across multiple repositories & development teams • Develop & maintain release schedules, timelines, and milestone tracking – in Jira • Coordinate with development, QA, DevOps, product and operations teams to ensure release readiness • Facilitate release planning meetings and go/no-go decision processes • Serve as primary point of contact for release status, changes, due dates, & escalations • Manage release communications to stakeholders and end users • Manage expectations with product owners, engineering leadership, and business stakeholders • Coordinate hotfix and emergency release procedures • Lead incident response for release-related issues and rollbacks • Perform risk assessments for high-impact releases

     

    Process Development & Maintenance: • Enforce standardized release processes and procedures • Maintain release documentation, runbooks, and best practices • Continuously improve release processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk • Implement and monitor release metrics and KPIs • Conduct post-release retrospectives and implement lessons learned

     

    Process Improvement & Analysis: • Identify strategic opportunities within the software development process where automation can be implemented • Analyze test coverage metrics and identify gaps in automation • Locate bugs and quality issues across business, development, and service-level IT processes • Present quality metrics and testing reports to stakeholder teams

     

    Technical Implementation & Innovation: • Configure automation tools & frameworks to enhance capabilities • Maintain and optimize existing automation infrastructure for maximum efficiency • Build custom tools when standard solutions don't meet requirements • Research emerging testing technologies and recommend adoption strategies

     

    Collaboration: • Work with development teams during sprint planning to identify testing requirements • Participate in agile ceremonies including stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint planning • Coordinate with product owners to validate requirements and acceptance criteria • Partner with infrastructure teams to optimize test environment management • Mentor development teams on automation best practices and conduct training sessions

     

    Documentation & Standards: • Create comprehensive release plans and automation guidelines • Establish best practices across development teams • Update documentation to reflect current processes and procedures

     

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience

    • 4+ years working on a high-functioning software development & engineering team

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments

    • Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for quality and continuous improvement
