Pay Rate:
_The pay rate for this job is $20 - $20 / hour*_
What you'll be doing as a Seamstress (Awnings and Textiles):
+ Measure, cut, and sew various outdoor fabrics (e.g., canvas, vinyl, acrylic) according to project requirements
+ Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines and related tools
+ Follow work orders, blueprints, and templates to ensure accuracy in size, shape, and stitching
+ Assemble and reinforce seams, hems, and edges to ensure durability and weather resistance
+ Inspect finished products for quality, making adjustments or repairs as needed
+ Collaborate with production team to meet deadlines and maintain workflow
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with all safety procedures
+ Assist in fabric inventory management, including labeling, folding, and storing materials
Available shifts:
Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)
Job requirements:
+ Previous experience as a seamstress, tailor, or sewing machine operator (industrial sewing experience preferred)
+ Ability to work with heavy or large fabric pieces
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
+ Ability to read and follow measurements, patterns, or instructions
+ Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
+ Ability to stand, bend, and lift moderate to heavy materials during the workday
+ Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team
+ Preferred Skills (Not Required)
+ Experience in awning, upholstery, marine canvas, or similar textile industries
+ Knowledge of heat sealing, grommeting, or other finishing techniques
+ Basic understanding of shop tools and fabrication processes
