Position Overview
**Power your future with Qualus** as a Construction Manager in our Construction Mangement department. This role will be responsible for field construction oversight of power generation projects.
Responsibilities
+ Manages and inspects the day-to-day activities of multiple contractor crews simultaneously.
+ Facilitates the replacement and/or installation of electric infrastructure equipment and ensures that all safety standards, company construction standards, company specifications, and governmental regulations are met.
+ Work with all stakeholders including third party consultants, contractors, and client management to maintain construction schedules, ensure work is completed on time and within budget, and per company standards.
+ Makes the proper notification to all federal, state and local agencies before, during and after construction as required.
+ Prior to commencement of construction, coordinates with customer(s) at the jobsite to determine specific customer requirements, construction sequencing and provides site readiness verification.
+ Maintains frequent and regular contact with contractor supervision regarding job performance and documents results appropriately.
+ Ensures that the terms and conditions of the contract and technical specifications are met.
+ Makes the necessary field decisions regarding job changes and communicates them as necessary to the Supervisor and Program or Project Manager; documents all job changes to ensure compliance and ensures the updates get documented in the appropriate information technology systems.
+ Regularly communicates job status to the appropriate parties to facilitate scheduling commitments.
+ Maintains customer coordination during construction phase and conducts job walk-down with customer and contractor at job completion.
+ Performs storm duty assignments as needed.
+ Reports to service center, jobsite, or remote location.
+ Lead all Environmental Health and Safety (HSA) activities and reporting
+ Monitoring the safety, environmental, and quality management of the work
+ Represent client in the field and coordinating with the EPC contractor to ensure construction and commissioning work is performed in accordance with project documents, codes, and good industry practice.
+ Review engineering drawings
+ Lead meetings with the project team and EPC
+ Provide input to daily/weekly/monthly reports
+ Manage and resolve issues and non-conformances
+ Support and drive issue resolution and lessons learned
+ Act as the client’s quality assurance and perform routine audits of the EPC QA/QC program, document and provide reports
+ Document findings in the field through field observation reports
+ Lead system turnover walkdowns and verification
+ Provide input to Entergy’s Project Controls in project quantity tracking and progress reporting
Qualifications
+ Field Construction oversight experience
+ Strong communication, management background, ability to stop work when needed.
+ Safety focused.
+ OSHA 30 Certification.

The expected compensation range for this position is based upon several factors, including but not limited to education, qualifications, prior relevant work experience and work location.
