    Hours: 930 am to 6 pm M-F

     

    Rate of Pay: $25 not certified and $26.50 certified

     

    Must be eligible to obtain NYS Family Peer Certification

    OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

    We are seeking a Clinical Support staff for the Ulster County Youth ACT Team who has experience supporting children and emerging adults ages 10-21 who are navigating symptoms of Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). The ideal candidate will be passionate about working in a collaborative team to provide intensive and highly coordinated interventions to address the significant needs of children/youth who are at risk of entering, or returning home from high intensity services, such as inpatient or residential services. Youth ACT services are delivered in the home, school or other community based settings using a multidisciplinary approach to better achieve success.

     

    The Clinical Support Staff will be responsible for working with young people and their families to support therapeutic treatment goals by delivering targeted skill development, training, and education that enhances the young person’s ability to acquire skills such as, managing health/mental health, pre-vocational/vocational skill building, and engagement in prosocial activities.

    The Clinical Support Staff will:

    + Deliver trauma informed, culturally and linguistically competent care that supports recovery

    + Conduct Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) Assessments, and Stanley Brown Safety Plans

    + Provide crisis intervention, as needed, including participating in a weekly on-call rotation.

    + Maintain up-to-date documentation for all cases

    + Participate in daily team meetings

    + Communicate with schools, medical personnel, and other treatment adjacent providers, as appropriate.

    + Follow all established organizational and oversight policies, procedures, and guidelines.

    Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate:

    + Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and at least one year of relevant experience

    + Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and be willing to transport clients in own vehicle

    + Will have computer literacy skills, including use of Microsoft Office Suite and an ability to learn/utilize an Electronic Health Record

    + Must be able to work independently and have good organization, writing, and telephone skills

    + Must be flexible, and able to prioritize tasks

    + Must be able to work as a team player with colleagues and other providers

    + Will be willing to participate in ongoing training

    + Will have experience providing case management, including assisting with applications for Medicaid, Social Security, SNAP Benefits, etc.; preferred

    + Is bilingual in the languages of English/Spanish; preferred
