Job Summary and Qualifications
The Nurse Manager of Critical Care CVICU ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Nurse Manager of Critical Care CVICU monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.
+ You will ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
+ You will manage admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
+ You will ensure unit is staffed with appropriate clinical competencies that are assigned to meet patient care needs.
+ You will manage nursing practice and unit operations.
+ You will monitor and evaluate the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures to ensure patient and family needs are assessed and met.
+ You will provide leadership in attaining and sustaining an unparalleled patient experience.
+ You will review various feedback mechanisms and help identify opportunities to improve customer/patient satisfaction.
+ You will ensure compliance with evidence-based practices that enhance patient experience and customer service.
+ You will collaborate with subject matter experts and other leaders to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
+ You will lead in a way that inspires commitment to the vision/mission/values of the organization.
+ You will identify development opportunities or training needs of individual employees and teams.
+ You will provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance.
+ You will ensure people with the right skills and motivations are in the right role, at the right time, to meet business needs.
+ You will have responsibility for resolving and/or channeling employee grievances, disputes, or concerns according to appropriate procedures.
+ You will manage staff scheduling.
+ You will maintain staffing in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
+ You will manage operating expenses, including the utilization of supplies and equipment.
What qualifications you will need:
Education:
+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
Licensure/Certifications:
+ Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation required.
+ BLS (Basic Life Support)
Experience:
+ Minimum one year of applicable management experience required.
