Software Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Research, design, develop, build and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for large distributed components that run our applications.
2. Build new features and improve existing products.
3. Work on problems of large scope.
4. Push code, drive the development of the systems behind our products, create web applications that reach billions of people, build high volume servers, and be a part of a team to connect people around the globe.
5. Develop a strong understanding of relevant product areas, codebase, and/or systems.
6. Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming and software engineering.
7. Produce high quality code with good test coverage, using modern abstractions and frameworks.
8. Master internal development standards from developing to releasing code in order to take on tasks and projects with increasing levels of complexity.
9. Engage with technical teams at partners (Fintechs, Banks, Networks, etc.) and payment regulators to represent the best interest of our payment users and their experience using our services.

10. Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences or related field
11. Requires completion of one university-level course, one research project, or one internship involving the following
12. C, C++, Java or other relevant coding languages
13. Building large-scale infrastructure applications or similar experience
14. Scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Hack
15. Designing, analyzing, and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources
16. Experience owning a component, feature or system
17. Building and shipping high quality work and achieving high reliability
18. Setting technical direction for a team, driving consensus and successful cross-functional partnerships
19. Improving quality through code reviews, appropriate testing, proper rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes
Public Compensation:
$209,993/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
