What We Want
The Department of Marketing is seeking a dedicated and customer service-oriented Laboratory Coordinator IV. The Laboratory Coordinator IV, under general supervision, oversees daily activities of the lab. This role assists in supplying, maintaining, and organizing laboratory equipment and software. This role also prepares materials, trains teaching assistants, and teaches/co-teaches selected labs.

Essential Duties/Tasks
Supervision Support
Coordinates the execution of research activities including establishing program standards and objectives ensuring we are IRB compliant. Ensures everyone is CITI certified for Human Test Subjects. Administers the lab software system. Manages the participant (subject) pool by assisting and reviewing results from recruiting, screening, and maintaining records on research participants. Monitors the setup of research sessions including drafting protocol, coordinating with IT support. Assist in the oversight of participants for their participation in the research sessions. Monitors lab schedules for research sessions. Ensures lab supplies and other research equipment maintenance. Maintains record of laboratory present material and equipment. Ensures adherence to lab standards and practices to maximize safety and operational effectiveness. Analyzes complex visual data in a quantitative and objective manner. Assist in monitoring research projects as needed.
Faculty Support
Accommodates faculty requests for assistance in running studies both in the lab and online. Collaborates with faculty to develop and update the lab policy section for inclusion in course syllabi. Coordinates faculty research studies on a weekly basis to ensure smooth scheduling and execution. Prepares credit reports and participation summaries for faculty to facilitate student grading. Manages the online Canvas community and administer make-up exams each semester for students who did not complete lab participation requirements. Provides research faculty with regular reports summarizing lab usage statistics and student participation levels. Prepares credit reports for professors, participant reports to IRB, filing miscellaneous forms to IRB, and any other information requests regarding research and data run under the program. Takes the lead on reviewing processes and makes recommendations each semester to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Four years of related experience in office coordination and personnel operations
Preferred Qualifications
+ Demonstrated leadership
+ Experience as a team leader, mentor, or supervisor
+ Experience in higher education and/or supporting faculty
+ Demonstrated organizational skills for multiple projects
+ Demonstrated ability to multi-task with multiple projects &/or varied timelines
+ Citi Training Certificate – Human Test Subjects
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
+ Ability to interact with clients and staff positively and professionally
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
+ Working knowledge of office software and instructional programs
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
