    Position Summary:

    We seek to hire an IT Systems Administrator Intern in their junior or senior year of college and majoring in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field to work in our headquarters office in Annapolis, MD. In this position, you will work with the Corporate IT team to provide support, administer systems, and learn about networking infrastructure and systems engineering. The internship will begin in the Spring of 2026 and last for 3 months, with the possibility of an extension.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Day-to-day assistance with Helpdesk tickets, laptop imaging, end user support, etc.

    + Review system reports/logs, in support of ISO 27001 and CMMC, and escalate as needed.

    + Document the status of work or project tasks.

    + Assist in providing user support for hardware and user equipment.

    + Willingness to learn & then support technologies such as: Active Directory (AD\AAD), Windows Server, Antivirus, Microsoft Office 365, etc.

    + Assist on projects currently engaged by the IT team.

    + Assist with the systems administration of Windows 11.

    + May support deployments of physical and virtual enterprise-grade systems: cloud-based infrastructure and web-based applications.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Required Experience:

    + U.S. citizenship.

    + Completed or currently working towards a BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related area (Junior/Senior year)

    + Overall GPA 3.0+

    + Self-driven, highly motivated, team-player, adaptable, and creative at solving problems, both routine and complex.

    + Excellent communication skills.

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

    + Experience supporting users in an IT capacity.

    + Assist on systems administration of Windows Server 2019-2025, Broadcom/VMware, RedHat, AlmaLinux, Ubuntu and others.

    + Experience in working with (and/or willing to learn) the following: Jira, Confluence, Active Directory, Windows 11, Helpdesk, etc.

    + IT Certifications.

    Work Hours & Location:

    This is a part-time (MWF), on-site, non-exempt position with hours of operations between 8 am to 5 pm in Annapolis, MD.
