    Position Summary:

    As a result of Origami Rehabilitation’s exciting growth, we are seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. As the Human Resources Business Partner , you will be an integral part of maintaining a seamless and people-centered HR operation. Your work will contribute to initiatives that strengthen every touchpoint across the employee life cycle.

    Work Location & Schedule:

    This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position. Approximately 75% of work hours are onsite across Origami’s campuses, with the remaining time flexible for remote work based on business needs and supervisor approval.

    Responsibilities:

    Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding

     

    + Partner with hiring committees to guide recruitment efforts, create interview tools, and issue offer letters.

    + Oversee pre-employment processes and onboarding for employees, interns, and volunteers to ensure a consistent, welcoming experience.

    + Support internal transfers and promotions with accuracy and compliance.

    + Manage offboarding and exit procedures, including documentation, systems access, and data tracking.

     

    Compliance & Auditing

     

    + Maintain compliance with employment laws, CARF standards, and licensing requirements.

    + Conduct personnel file and training audits; track credentials, certifications, and required documentation.

    + Coordinate and document employee health and safety requirements such as TB testing and CPR/First Aid training.

     

    Benefits & Leave Administration

     

    + Provide guidance on benefits and leave programs.

    + Administer FMLA, ADA, and other leave processes, ensuring proper communication with Payroll and leadership.

     

    Employee Relations & Culture

     

    + Partner with HR leadership and the Culture Champions Committee on engagement and recognition initiatives.

    + Serve as a point of contact for employee questions, support fair resolution of workplace issues, and coach supervisors on policy application.

    + Contribute to strategies that strengthen satisfaction, retention, and belonging across the organization.

     

    HR Operations & Continuous Improvement

     

    + Analyze HR trends and identify opportunities for efficiency, engagement, and compliance improvement.

    + Support HR system updates, payroll processes, and workforce planning initiatives.

    + Participate in special projects and help advance Origami’s mission, values, and culture.

    Requirements:

    + A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

    + A minimum of five years of progressive experience in a human resources role is required.

    + Experience administering and processing compliance related topics including but not limited to FMLA, ADA accommodations, EEO/Affirmative Action is required.

    Preferences:

    + Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or SPHR is preferred.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position carries no direct supervisory responsibilities; however, the HR Business Partner is encouraged to engage a Human Resources intern to mentor and coach in foundational HR practices, collaborate on emerging HR initiatives, and assist with onboarding and offboarding processes to enhance learning and operational efficiency.

     

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

     

    + Access to reliable transportation to travel between multiple worksite locations as needed

    + Certification in Origami’s Training Curriculum (provided after hire)

    + First Aid, CPR, and AED Instructor Certification required within 45 days of employment and must be maintained throughout employment (provided by Origami)

    Physical Requirements:

    This position requires the ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods, with occasional lifting up to 40 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
