This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for their technology domains, activating the business and technical stakeholders necessary to scale the business and help our customers succeed.Together we provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.
As a Containers Specialist, you will develop and execute go-to-market plans that drive adoption of Amazon Container services worldwide. You will also help AWS’s largest customers adopt and optimize their container applications to reduce operational overhead and increase business agility and their pace of innovation. You will work directly with the AWS service teams to bring the voice of the customer to the service roadmap. You will scale your business through the AWS sales field, AWS Partners, and AWS programs across the globe.
Key job responsibilities
1. Drive the go-to-market plan for a key area of Amazon. This includes driving the overall sales and technical strategy. Define the market segments, customer base, and industry verticals to target. Create a plan to target markets that align with AWS's strategic direction. Execute the plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, service teams, legal, support, etc.). Scale the plan through field sellers, AWS Partners, community influencers, and other channels.
2. Develop customer pipelines that will drive growth in your target market.
3. Work to identify new market opportunities and incubate ideas for new services or key features.
4. Ensure sales and partner readiness.
5. Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product offerings.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of relevant GTM, Sales, or Consulting experience
- 2+ years experience solving business problems with container technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing and executing on GTM strategies that are large in scope
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies
- Experience with AI/ML technologies
- Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
