    Position: HW Commodity Specialist II (multiple positions available)

    Multiple Positions Available:

    1. Create forecasts and sourcing plans in support of customer demand.

    2. Work with a range of stakeholders including supply chain, operations, engineering, and suppliers to drive supply profiles and to support on-time material availability.

    3. Analyze business and technology trends to identify process improvement opportunities, reduce costs, and minimize risks for AWS and its customers.

    4. Manage material inventories for AWS data centers

    5. Evaluate and monitor performance of suppliers

    6. Lead cross-functional meetings with clear document writing, agenda creation, note capture, and follow-up activity coordination.

    7. Serve as an escalation point for teams to remediate supplier/material risks.

    8. Domestic and international travel up to 10% to perform role responsibilities may be required

    Basic Qualifications

    A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline and 2 years of experience in job offered or a related occupation. In the alternative, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent, in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline followed by 5 progressively responsible years of experience in job offered or a related occupation.

    Experience must include:

    1. 2 years of experience within Logistics, Transportation, or Distribution Center processes and system

    2. 2 years of experience in a cross-functional organization utilizing sophisticated quantitative analysis and process improvement methodologies including lean process manufacturing and related performance metrics for continuous improvement, optimization and to increase efficiency within processes.

    3. 2 years of data center and/or cabling infrastructure

    4. 2 years of experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau

     

    The pay range for this position in Seattle, WA is $127,982- $139,100 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
