TYPE OF POSITION: Military non-classified
SUMMARY: This position is assigned to Base Civil Engineering (BCE), Idaho Air National Guard, within the State of Idaho - Military Division. The primary purpose of these positions is to provide mechanical and electrical maintenance, technical troubleshooting, and repair support to the customers of the BCE.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
(1) Must be an enlisted member of the Idaho National Guard. Provide your military grade, job title, MOS/AFSC and unit of assignment.
(2) Must have and maintain a valid and unrestricted state issued driver’s license (from any state). Provide your driver’s license number, issuing state, license expiration date, and the full name specified on the license.(Do notprovide a copy of your driver’s license.)
(3) Must have, or be eligible to obtain, and maintain a favorable T1 Federal Background Investigation. If a selected candidate does not have a current favorable T1, as a condition of employment he/she must submit to the investigation process immediately upon hire/appointment.(At a minimum, a favorable suitability determination by the State Security Manager is required prior to appointment into this position.)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Must have 18-months of specialized experience performing related duties as specified in the announcement listed under Qualification Requirements, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs). Submit a paragraph for each knowledge requirement that demonstrates the required experience and describes competence in applying the knowledge. Education may be used to offset experience.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
(1) Thorough knowledge of the proper technical and safety practices relating to the electrical field.
(2) Knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
(3) Skill and ability to interpret basic sketches, complex control schematics, detailed blueprints, and specifications relating to the electrical field.
(4) Ability to safely use hand and power tools associated with the electrical field.
(5) Skill and ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems, fire alarm systems, and suppression systems and their controls.
(6) Ability to be effective and efficient in organizing, planning, and scheduling projects to achieve maximum production.
(7) Ability and skill to proficiently estimate labor man-hours and materials accurately for electrical jobs using acceptable estimating standards.
