    Overview

     

    Join Element’s Acton laboratory, a cGMP-certified, FDA- and DEA-registered facility specializing in microbiology, environmental monitoring, and compliance testing for sterile compounding and drug manufacturing environments. Our Acton team supports home infusion centers, hospital pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies in maintaining contamination control, product quality, and regulatory compliance—helping ensure safe, effective therapies reach patients faster.

     

    As a **Quoting Specialist** , you’ll serve as a key link between our customers, laboratory, and sales teams—preparing precise, timely quotes that align with technical, operational, and commercial needs. This role combines analytical accuracy with customer engagement, ensuring each quote reflects Element’s commitment to quality, compliance, and service excellence.

     

    **Site Status** : 100% On-Site

    Responsibilities

    + Review incoming customer inquiries, technical specifications, and sample requests to determine testing scope (microbiology, environmental monitoring, compounding compliance)

    + Translate customer requirements into detailed quote specifications, including test methods, turnaround times, and special protocols

    + Prepare, format, and deliver accurate proposals that align with Element’s pricing strategy, cost structure, and lab capacityCollaborate with sales, laboratory operations, scientists, and quality teams to validate feasibility and ensure quotes reflect current capabilities and regulatory standards

    + Ensure all quotes comply with internal policies, cGMP requirements, and applicable accreditations (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025)

    + Maintain and update pricing databases, templates, and historical quote data for accuracy and consistency

    + Monitor open quotes, follow up proactively with customers, and coordinate internal feedback to keep projects moving

    + Identify potential risks or non-standard requests, escalating when appropriate

    + Partner with the sales team to understand client needs, project timelines, and competitive positioning

    + Support proposal refinement, providing clear, data-driven pricing and technical insights to strengthen customer value and win potential

    + Participate in customer calls or meetings as needed to clarify pricing or technical requirements

    + Track quote conversions, analyze feedback, and help optimize pricing and quoting strategies

    + Maintain deep familiarity with Element Acton’s service offerings to confidently communicate capabilities and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities

    Skills / Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

    + Prior experience in quoting, pricing, or sales support within a testing laboratory, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environment strongly preferred

    + Working understanding of microbiology, environmental monitoring, or cGMP-regulated testing is a plus

    + Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to translate technical data into customer-friendly proposals

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with CRM or ERP systems

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, regulated environment
