Job Title: Application Engineer
Job Description
As an Application Engineer, you will provide routine service and technical support to users, ensuring their systems and equipment function optimally. You will be responsible for testing new applications and systems, working closely with the product development team to create new integrations. Additionally, you will install equipment at users' sites and engage in problem-solving activities by performing system analysis, interpreting data, and providing written recommendations.
Responsibilities
+ Provide routine service and technical support to users.
+ Test new applications and systems.
+ Work with the product development team to create new integrations.
+ Install equipment at users' sites.
+ Engage in problem-solving by performing system analysis and interpreting data.
+ Provide written recommendations to ensure optimal equipment performance.
+ Assist sales partners with surveying prospective users.
+ Support sales partners with new applications for both existing and new users.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Linux and shell scripting.
+ Experience in electronics testing and software troubleshooting.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude.
+ Experience with software programming.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong organizational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to travel 25% to 50% overnight.
+ Must have a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
+ Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task.
+ Ability to work independently and as a self-starter.
Work Environment
This role involves approximately 25% travel to customer sites for equipment installation, with trips typically lasting 3-4 days. Travel is primarily within the US, with occasional trips overseas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.06/hr.
