    Now Hiring: Cost Estimator – Construction & Development

    Job Type: Contract to Hire, Full-Time

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Estimator to support budgeting, estimating, and financial oversight for high-end commercial and residential construction projects. This role is ideal for professionals with strong analytical skills and hands-on experience in cost control and trade takeoffs.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Maintain detailed job costing versus original budgeted costs.

    + Confirm and write scopes of work for contracts.

    + Collaborate with accounting for monthly billings and financial forecasting.

    + Identify and communicate budget issues to project managers and principals.

    + Estimate and take off all trades including architectural, structural, and mechanical.

    + Participate in concept/schematic phase budgeting as a construction manager.

    + Solicit and qualify subcontractors.

    + Collaborate with design teams on value engineering alternatives.

    Required Qualifications

    + 3–5 years of experience as a cost estimator.

    + Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.

    + Experience with takeoffs across multiple trades (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Architectural).

    + Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office.

    + Ability to manage project budgets and read blueprints.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with construction bidding and cost reduction strategies.

    + Background working with general contractors.

    + Familiarity with luxury residential and commercial development projects.

    Work Environment

    + On-site, five days a week in Greenvale, NY.

    + General contractor and construction management setting.

    + Projects include rentals, condominiums, high-end retail, commercial renovations, and tenant improvements.

    + Collaborative team focused on private owner and developer-driven work.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $44.00/hr.
