Job Title: Job CaptainJob Description

A true Job Captain is expected to bring at least 5 years of experience in multifamily residential projects. The role requires independently producing drawing sets, providing redlines to technical designers, and researching applicable building codes. Supporting the Project Coordinator or Project Manager with permitting processes and consultant communications, especially with MEP firms, is also essential. While client communication may occasionally occur, it is generally limited.

Responsibilities

+ Independently produce drawing sets and provide redlines to technical designers.

+ Research applicable building codes.

+ Support Project Coordinator or Project Manager with permitting processes and consultant communications.

+ Interface with MEP firms for effective collaboration.

+ Occasionally engage in client communication.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 5 years of architectural experience in multi-family projects.

+ Minimum of 4 years Revit experience.

+ Bachelor's degree in Architecture.

+ Working knowledge of building construction types I, III, and V.

+ Strong understanding of IBC, CBC, and disabled access requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Good understanding of consultant drawings and systems.

+ Ability to hand sketch details prior to producing Revit drawings.

+ Excellent organizational skills.

+ California licensed Architect or on track to become licensed is preferred.

Work Environment

Work in the Irvine Office with a hybrid schedule allowing up to 2 days working from home and 3 days in the office. The company no longer supports fully remote work but will consider relocating a candidate if they are exceptional. The culture is holistic and full-service, focusing on both production and design, allowing employees to choose their career path. The team is cohesive and participates actively, fostering a positive work culture. The schedule is typically 8 hours a day, with flexibility in start time between 7-9 AM. A flex schedule is also available with 9 hours Monday to Friday and 4 hours on Thursday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $43.00/hr.
