Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented HEDIS Coordinator to join our team. This role focuses on supporting the HEDIS project, which measures the performance and effectiveness of care provided by healthcare providers and groups. You will be responsible for abstracting data from medical records and entering this information into specialized programs. Comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
+ Ensure HEDIS data accuracy and reporting through investigations, audits, and identifying improvement opportunities.
+ Assist with quality improvement initiatives within service and clinical areas.
+ Coordinate, complete, and update management on clinical quality metrics and HEDIS processes/results.
+ Establish and maintain an action plan to improve HEDIS scores.
+ Implement processes to request and evaluate member compliance reports for each HEDIS measure and identify improvement opportunities.
+ Collaborate with providers and internal departments on rate investigation and validation activities, maintaining all evidence and documentation.
+ Manage the HEDIS project, including nurse assignments, adherence to timelines, and vendor oversight for timeliness and quality.
+ Conduct quality audits and maintain data and process controls to ensure compliance.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
+ Minimum 3 years of quality improvement or healthcare-related experience.
+ Working knowledge of NCQA and HEDIS requirements.
Additional Skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
+ Strong customer service and communication skills.
+ Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
Work Environment
+ Remote position with flexible work hours (primarily Eastern Standard Time).
+ Standard schedule includes a lunch break from 12 PM to 1 PM EST.
+ Additional hours may be required during peak project volume.
+ Role involves working with multiple systems and technologies.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
