We are seeking a dedicated MEP Facility Assessor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to document findings accurately, understand building systems and blueprints, communicate effectively with clients and team members, and conduct thorough inspections. Your role will involve fieldwork, adhering to safety protocols, problem-solving to identify necessary repairs, managing time efficiently to complete assessments within deadlines, and staying updated on new building technologies and methodologies.
Responsibilities
+ Accurately record and identify potential issues during facility assessments.
+ Understand and interpret building systems and blueprints.
+ Communicate effectively with clients and team members, drafting comprehensive reports.
+ Conduct inspections which may include climbing and walking in various environments.
+ Follow safety protocols diligently during site visits.
+ Identify necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
+ Complete assessments within set deadlines, managing time effectively.
+ Stay updated on new building technologies and methodologies to ensure best practices.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience in the AEC industry.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and similar software.
+ Strong communication skills and a client interfacing personality.
+ Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
+ Experience in inspection report writing, project management, and quality control.
+ In-depth knowledge of building systems including Architectural, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
+ Experience in Construction Management, Facilities Management, or Building Science.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
+ Ability to meet hard deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.
+ Strong process and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and determine the best course of action.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. The work environment encourages collaboration and innovation, providing the opportunity to work on challenging and time-critical infrastructure projects.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alexandria, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
