Summary:

The Buyer I will purchase assigned commodities and services at the appropriate quantity, price, quality and delivery, and to assure that all purchases for Physician Enterprise and its locations are made in compliance with the applicable Policies and Procedures and health care requirements. This position supports the medical practices with sourcing quality supplies and equipment at the best price and quality appropriate to the setting of services provided.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

+ Associates degree required, Purchasing/Materials Management field preferred

+ Bachelors Degree in Business or Purchasing/Materials Management field preferred

+ Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) certification preferred

EXPERIENCE

+ Purchasing/Materials Management experience preferred

+ Healthcare experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

+ Good analytical skills

+ Materials Management software system knowledge preferred

+ Strong Microsoft Office Skills

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Strong problem solving capability

+ Strong project management and customer service skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

+ Sitting extensively in meetings; sitting behind computer

+ Attendance at inter-departmental and site meetings

+ Travel may be required among Catholic Health organizations and Physician Enterprise sites
