Job Title: Professional Land Surveyor
Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Professional Land Surveyor to serve as the Licensed Survey Office Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading survey field crews, managing workflows from initiation to completion, and ensuring the timely delivery of plans. This position also involves client interaction, business development, and approval of timesheets.
Responsibilities
+ Manage and direct all field and office activities related to surveying.
+ Coordinate scheduling, plan preparation, and construction stakeout.
+ Support closing and legal departments with property descriptions, as-built surveys, and topographical surveys.
+ Oversee residential subdivision layout and plot plans.
+ Ensure accurate plot drawings and residential construction staking.
+ Engage in client interaction and business development to bring new projects in.
+ Approve timesheets and manage survey field crews.
Essential Skills
+ Possession of a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) license in Georgia.
+ 5-10 years of experience in surveying.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD with Carlson software.
+ Experience with survey equipment and software such as Geosyntes and LiDAR.
+ Strong familiarity with residential subdivision layout and plot plans.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in drafting in AutoCAD.
+ Knowledge of Drone and Aerial Mapping technologies.
+ Understanding of topography and construction stakeout.
Work Environment
The role is based at our office in Alpharetta, GA, supporting residential, commercial, apartment living, and city living teams with in-house surveying, planning, engineering, and environmental consulting services. The work environment includes a mix of land development, home building, and residential construction staking projects, offering a supportive and innovative atmosphere.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $55.30/hr.
