Job Title: Electrical Designer
Job Description
The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing power distribution systems, low voltage infrastructure for IT and security systems, and lighting designs. This includes selecting fixtures, controls, and conducting lighting calculations. Additionally, the role involves designing low-voltage systems such as fire alarms, security, and controls, calculating loads, fault currents, and voltage drops, and performing field surveys and providing construction phase support.
Responsibilities
+ Design power distribution systems including riser diagrams and panel schedules.
+ Develop low voltage infrastructure designs for IT and security systems.
+ Create lighting designs, select fixtures and controls, and conduct lighting calculations.
+ Design low-voltage systems including fire alarms, security, and controls.
+ Calculate electrical loads, fault currents, and voltage drops.
+ Conduct field surveys and provide support during the construction phase.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in MEP design and electrical design using Revit.
+ Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) Certification.
+ At least 2 years of electrical design experience.
+ Strong teamwork, communication, and client relationship skills.

+ Strong work ethic and solid organization skills.
Work Environment
The role is based in a bullpen-like office with 25 employees, creating a very family-oriented atmosphere. Employees have the option for a hybrid work arrangement after demonstrating the ability to perform effectively. The company offers generous full-time benefits and is open to providing relocation packages for moving to Lawrence. The team is on call for capital expenditure projects across various states, and the position is one of three engineers working on projects for a major client.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
